Student Research Assistants

Charlyn Gomez

Charlyn graduated from the George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a minor in Biology. She is a current student in the University of Pennsylvania's Pre-Health Specialized Studies Post-Baccalaureate Program and aspires to be a physician in the nearby future.

Charlyn joined PSTAR as a Research Assistant in the fall of 2019 and in addition to LGBTQ health, is also passionate about health disparities, women's health, biases in medical care, health outreach education, and the intersection between social justice and medicine. In the past, Charlyn has had experience in neurobiological research addressing mental health problems, as well as in clinical volunteering with vulnerable populations.
