Daniel Teixeira da Silva, MD is a general internist, pediatrician, and post-doctoral fellow in the National Clinician Scholars Program currently working towards his Master of Science in Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania. His research aims to investigate structural and psycho-social determinants of HIV sero-conversion and implementation of HIV prevention services.

Currently, his research is focused on engagement in HIV care after incarceration, implementation of HIV testing and HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis in substance use disorder treatment programs, and examining the relationship between medical mistrust and discrimination and engagement in care among sexual minority men. Daniel earned his BA in Biology and Science in Society at Wesleyan University and received his medical doctorate from the Boston University School of Medicine.
