Student Research Assistants
Patrina Sexton-Topper has research interests that span health equity, LGBTQ health, health care ethics, transitions in care, and end-of-life decision making. Patrina graduated from the the University of Dayton in 2000 with a degree in Sociology. She has practiced clinical massage therapy and bodywork in private practice since 2002.
In 2014, Patrina earned a Master of Science in Bioethics from Columbia University with research experience in global research ethics and HIV prevention, bioethics related to genomics research, and issues around assent and consent. Patrina is currently enrolled in the accelerated BSN/PhD Program as a Hillman Scholar in Nursing Innovation at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
